Welcome to Orion2Nebula!

This website is dedicated to the constellation of Orion and the Orion Nebula region. It is meant for people who have a general interest in astronomy and the beauty of the night sky, for amateur astronomers and for people who are interested in astrophotography. Everything here is explained in the form of pictures. These pictures were made by myself with modest technical equipment from my balcony in Heidelberg/Germany, using remote telescopes in the iTelescope network or were taken from the Hubble Legacy Archive and processed by myself. Constructive comments are always welcome.

The website is organized in three sections: Orion, Orion Nebula and Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The Orion section focuses on the constellation of Orion. The Orion Nebula region section examines the Orion Nebula in greater detail. The Hubble Space Telescope section provides basic informations about the telescope. This section also presents results for one of the great discoveries made with the Hubble Space Telescope: The Orion proplyds. I recommend to start with the Orion section, followed by the HST section and finally the Orion Nebula section.
